Spontaneous Combustion Assessments

Over the past ten years RGS has worked closely with B3 Consultants to combine our mine waste geochemistry, mine closure and spontaneous combustion management experience to tackle challenging mine waste rehabilitation projects involving the potential for spontaneous combustion.  Several coal mining projects have had sustainable rehabilitation challenges, associated with a paucity of material characterisation information and rudimentary cover systems, and these challenges have been addressed using the combined expertise of B3 and RGS to provide permanent solutions to provide successful rehabilitation outcomes.
